This is one of my favorite lyrics of all time, from Mumford & Sons’ song, Awake My Soul. I love the premise behind it and it has become something I will apply to my life forever. Why not have an everlasting reminder? It was done by Scott at Stiehl’s Body Modification in Ithaca, NY.

this is gorgeous

So I got this a couple of days ago on the 19th of January, so it’s still healing.
It’s the Doctor Who logo and I got it because my love for the show. It’s the one thing in my life which I can always count on to make me happy or to cheer me up after a shitty day and I wanted to dedicate a piece of my body to that fact.

awesome!

This is my Van Gogh Starry night X NYC tattoo. I’ve always loved the Starry Night painting since i was a freshman in High School and learned about it in art class. I always tried to do similar drawings in class and on my free time. I decided to put the NYC skyline because it’s almost like my personalized view of starry night being that i live in New York, aside from the fact that the NYC skyline is one of the most appealing views in my opinion, especially with the twin towers, as 9/11 is a day that i will never forget, it felt very necessary to include the twin towers in the skyline. This is a picture taken today after finishing the second session, done my Matt Fibikar at Bullseye Tattoo shop in Staten Island, New York. Matt was a pleasure to work with and was very mellow and understanding. We have put about 8 hours of work into it so far. This is my first tattoo, and Matt made me feel very comfortable from the start. I will definitely be going back to Matt in the future for more work. Hope you like it!

This is my City and Colour tattoo I got done in June 2011. Dallas Green’s music has helped me get through just about everything since I first heard him about two summers ago. The decision of which of his lyrics was possibly the most difficult choice of the entire process as most of the phrases that I wanted would cause the banner to be stretched which would then not make it the Sometimes CD cover. This tattoo was done by Abigail Hume at Full Tilt Kustoms in LeRoy, NY

Got this today at Eternal Image in Tiffin, OH by Jim Cook.  It’s on my inside right leg; spent about forty-five minutes in the chair, cost of $100 [SO much less than what I was expecting, with all the color it uses].
It’s the TARDIS from Doctor Who, done in a Van Gogh style, for the episode “Vincent & the Doctor.”  This episode is my favorite for far too many reasons to get into here.  Under it I have “allons-y” in my own handwriting—the Tenth Doctor’s catchphrase; “let’s go” in French.  Felt it was appropriate to have under the thing he uses to travel through all time and space.
Personal reasons for getting a Who tattoo…I’ve only been a fan for a few months, but already the show means so much more to me than almost anything.  I love what it teaches—life is short, live it well.  Be extraordinary.  Nothing is set in stone—if you want to change something there’s no reason you can’t.  I love the idea of whizzing around through the universe, what there is to discover.  I could go on for days about what exactly it means to me, but for now suffice to say it helps me realize that life is a wonderful experience, and any moment could be incredible if you just make it.  Now…allons-y!

i’m a writing major in college, and i decided to get the mcsweeney’s logo tattooed above my left ankle.  mcsweeney’s is my favorite publishing company, its founder, dave eggers, is one of my favorite authors, and the writing, innovation, dedication to publishing, and just general coolness shown in their company has inspired me a ridiculous amount and has helped shaped my voice and writing style more than anything else.
i got it done by rob at miraculous creations in worcester, ma, it’s my first tattoo, and i couldn’t love it more :)

woohoo!  :D just disregard the fact that i included that i’m a writing major, but then had a typo in my little blurb up there.  whatever whatever :D
also, i was creeping the comments people made, and someone wrote, “this is a hipster tattoo.  but a cool hipster tattoo.”  and it made me laugh and think of LATFH
and, in conclusion, this is my tattoo :)
